In August 2026, just after the Bon season, I visited Hamaguri-hama. I walked through the mountains, following the flow of a stream as it continued down toward the sea. The mountains still held the heat of summer, with cicadas calling loudly through the trees. Listening to their voices, I watched the water flow.
